If your Seiko QR-350 displays error E-30, it means the print-head has not been able to return to its home position.
The Seiko QR-350 determines the location of the print-head via an internal print sensor. Error E-30 is returned when the print-head motor is not operating correctly or the print sensor reports an anomaly.
To correct the problem:
Verify there is no debris or foreign material in the time card slot.
Verify nothing is blocking the print head from moving.
Verify that the ribbon cartridge is seated correctly. Remove and reinsert the ribbon cartridge, if necessary.
If the problem persists, the QR-350 must be repaired or replaced.
