How to delete daylight saving time on the Seiko QR-395

If you need to delete or cancel the daylight saving time (DST) setting on your Seiko QR-395 time clock, follow the procedure below.


If you are already in program mode and are continuing from a previous function option, you can jump ahead to step 3.

If you have progressed past the last function option and the Seiko QR-395 has exited program mode, you will need to start again from step 2.

  1. If you haven't already done so, with power applied to the Seiko QR-395, unlock and remove the top cover.  This will enter program mode.

  3. Press and hold the FUNCTION button for 3-5 seconds until you hear a second beep.  After the second beep, release the FUNCTION button.  This will enter the first function option.

    If the display shows "9999" when entering function program mode, you are required to enter the four digit password to proceed.

  5. Press the FUNCTION button as required to position the "" mark next to the DAYLIGHT SAVING option.

  7. Initially, the year value will be flashing.

    Press the SET button to proceed to the month.


  8. The month value will now be flashing.  Press the CHANGE button to alter the month to read " ".

    Press the SET button to proceed to the date.


  9. The date value will now be flashing.

    Press the SET button to complete the procedure.

    Daylight saving time has now been deleted.

  11. If you don't need to alter any further settings, press SET one more time to ensure you have exited program mode.

  12. If you don't press the SET button to complete programming, the QR-395 will remain in program mode and will not accept time cards.


  13. Replace and lock the top cover.
