How to set the day advance time on the Seiko QR-350

The day advance time is the time when printing shifts to the next row on a time card for the next day.  This function is used for shifts that traverse midnight, and enables the clocking out record to print on the same line of the previous working day.


If you don't have shifts that traverse midnight, you can safely program this value as midnight (0:00).

If you need to alter the day advance time on your Seiko QR-350 time clock, follow the procedure below.


  1. If you haven't already done so, with power applied to the Seiko QR-350, unlock and remove the top cover.  This will enter program mode.

  3. Press the SELECT button as required to position the "" mark under the DAY ADV TIME option.

  5. Initially, the hour value will be flashing.  If necessary, press the CHANGE button to alter the hour.

    Press the SET button to proceed to the minutes.


  6. The minutes value will now be flashing.  If necessary, press the CHANGE button to alter the minutes.

    Press the SET button to complete the procedure.

  8. If you don't need to alter any further settings, replace and lock the top cover.  This will exit program mode.
